About Group Retro

- Program Benefits

Performance

  • WHCA's retro program has returned $44.9M back to its members since 1986 achieving a 30% average return.

  • WHCA's retro program is one of the largest in state with over $10M in premium. L & I recognizes that the larger the group, the less risk and adjusts its refund factors accordingly resulting in a larger return than in a group with smaller premium.

  • WHCA members on average paid 9% less than the base premium for their industry class, due to improved experience factors. Letter to members (PDF) explaining experience factors and retro members 2008 experience factors (PDF).
